Gaudêncio Pires de Campos, foi um dos deputados que mais denodadamente se bateu em defesa da criação do concelho do Bombarral.
Nascido a 25 de Agosto de 1873 na freguesia de Vila Nova de Monsarros, concelho da Anadia, foi farmacêutico e proprietário do jornal Leiria Ilustrada. Era filho de pai incógnito e de Maria José Campos.
Foi admninistrador do concelho de Leiria (após o 05 de Outubro de 1910), deputado à Constituinte de 1911 e novamente em 1915. Foi ainda comissário de policia do Distrito de Leiria.
