Ensino Primário na Freguesia do Carvalhal - Bombarral

 

Outros tempos, outras realidades. A 26 de Janeiro de 1858, no reinado de D.Pedro V, o Ministro e Secretário de Estado dos Negócios do Reino, Marquês de Loulé (D. Nuno José Severo Mendonça Rolim de Moura Barreto), criava um lugar de ensino primário na freguesia do Carvalhal, ao tempo concelho de Óbidos, hoje Bombarral.

Curioso que já ao tempo foram a Câmara de Óbidos e a Junta da Paróquia do Carvalhal que tiveram de se encarregar do necessário para constituir a escola, ou seja, os utensilios e o edíficio respectivo. Um mero pequeno exemplo da força e importância que o poder local sempre teve neste nosso Portugal.

Dois detalhes a realçar - os 347 fogos que a freguesia tinha ao tempo e o facto de para justificar a criação do lugar de ensino primário nesta freguesia se determinar que a mesma serviria igualmente os alunos da Delgada e dos Baraçais, pertencentes à vizinha freguesia de Roliça.

Other times, other realities. The January 26, 1858, in the reign of King Pedro V, the Minister and Secretary of State for the Kingdom, Marquis de Loulé (Nuno Mendonça José Severo Rolim de Moura Barreto), created a place of primary education in the parish of Carvalhal, in the municipality of Óbidos, today municipality of Bombarral.

Curious that were already at the time the municipality of Obidos and the Parish of Carvalhal who had to take charge of the school needed to be, that is the building itself and its utensils. Merely a small example of the strength and importance that local power always had in Portugal.

Two details to highlight - the 347 fires that the parish had at the time and the fact that to justify the creation of the post of primary school in this parish is determined that it would also serve students from Delgada and Baraçais belonging to the neighboring parish of Roliça.
